Arable Crop Storage Ltd

Storage and Processing

Situated near Stratford–upon–Avon the store is ideally placed close to the motorway network and the large number of consumers based in the Midlands.

Opened in 1979 ACS is a 26,500 tonne store processing grains for 66 members in the West Midlands. The store aims to move grain off members' farms within 24 hours. Intake can reach 2,000 tonnes per day facilitated by three intake pits with a combined throughput of 350 tonnes per hour and a 400 tonne fast dump external bunker.

The supporting infrastructure includes two 35 tonne per hour Law Dennis driers, gravity separator and two pre cleaners. This allows the extraction of value from even the most distressed grain. Crops are stores in a combination of silos and flat stores which permit a high level of segregation and so maximise the permutation of crops and grades that can be stored and blended to meet customer specification.

A modern fully equipped TASCC approved laboratory and weighbridge together with monitoring equipment throughout the store ensures that quality is maintained through intake, storage and dispatch. The laboratory equipment is monitored alongside other NetworkGrain stores through ring testing to ensure accuracy.
